Who I am
I am a musician and music teacher born in Barcelona. As my parents worked in the music industry I grew up around music and showed interest in it at a very young age. I was initially trained as a classical pianist at Liceu Conservatory, but soon deviated from that to explore other genres such as pop, jazz, and world music, with special interest in a cappella traditional music. The leitmotif of my early musical journey was always the storytelling part of music. That led me to participate in several theatrical shows, and co-found my own music theatre company Cantamons, which brought a musical show for children focused on world music to many school and community centres throughout my hometown.
Composing and arranging music have always been my passions, which led me to start or participate in several other musical projects such as the a cappella bands air sOul and Víove, and the indie-pop band Paper de Plàstic.
After relocating to Vancouver, I decided to start my solo career to bring to life many stories that I had created on the side over the years. My first album Rainy Times was released in November 2021 and with it came The Rainy Times Story, a 9-episode short film that develops through the tracks of the album and that has gained over 430k on YouTube. In July 2024 I released my new EP “Seasons” which first single “Autumn Leaves,” was featured on CBC radio in November 2023.
Through my 20+ years of experience as musician, I have also been teaching piano, music theory and choir. I have had students all ages and levels. From 3 to 70 years old. From beginners to professional levels.
I also hold a master’s degree in Music School Management and was an Executive Director at several music schools for more than 7 years before starting my own piano studio.
